CBTF helped conceive, seed, serves on the executive board of, and continues its significant funding of the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC). We are very proud of Dr. Prados appointment to this important role.
The Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC) is built on a foundation of collaboration that crosses institutions, organizations, and international boarders; linking the world’s best talent in a shared mission to uncover better treatments and cures for children suffering from brain and CNS tumors as quickly as possible.
The CBTTC is happy to carry that mission forward by welcoming Dr. Michael Prados, M.D., Founder and Co-Leader of the Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC), as the newly-elected Co-Chair of the CBTTC’s Scientific Committee. Dr. Prados will work alongside Dr. Adam Resnick, who continues as Scientific Committee Co-Chair, to further align and integrate PNOC’s clinical trial infrastructure and precision medicine focus with the CBTTC’s efforts to accelerate discoveries in the research space powered by clinical and multi-omic data paired with one of the world’s largest collections of childhood brain and CNS tumor biospecimens.
Aided by Dr. Prados’ leadership, the CBTTC will continue to work hand-in-hand with PNOC to advance genomic and clinical research toward improving therapeutics and saving the lives of children diagnosed with brain and CNS tumors. We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Dr. Prados to the CBTTC’s leadership team!
