Family 2 Family Mentor Program
Our longest running program, the Family 2 Family (F2F) Mentor Program connects caregiver, survivor, and bereaved caregiver mentors to families who are seeking peer support. We recognize the expertise and support which can be provided by people who have shared a similar experience. The F2F Network also connects bereaved parents and family members to bereaved mentors for support.
Finding a Mentor
We strive to make the most meaningful and individualized connection for every caregiver and survivor we can. Please email info@cbtf.org or call 212-448-9494 to be connected with a CBTF staff member who will speak with you about your individual concerns and we’ll match you with a trained parent or survivor mentor who you can feel connected to.
Becoming a Mentor
CBTF offers mentor training for parents, survivors, and bereaved parents.
All prospective mentors must complete an application and attend a training. Trainings are offered several times a year and may be done via phone-conference or a face-to-face group. Please email info@cbtf.org or call 212-448-9494 to find out more about becoming a mentor and to be sent an application.
Online Chats
CBTF offers monthly online chats for caregivers, brain tumor survivors, and for bereaved caregivers. These chats are moderated by CBTF social workers but topics follow the needs expressed by the families and survivors who join them. Please contact info@cbtf.org or call 212-448-9494 to find out more.
Want To Connect With Us On Facebook?
We have private groups for caregivers and bereaved families where you can share common experiences and offer support for one another. All groups are moderated by CBTF staff members.
